A Hardworking Kitchen

This kitchen was made for a family who live in one of the beautiful houses on the Fonthill Estate. The Fowlers wanted to kitchen to look 'old fashioned' with an air of understairs utilitarian living. Hannah is a trained professional chef, so the space needed to live up to her catering capabilities, with storage space for some of her larger equipment and shelving for countless cookery books.

Overall this kitchen has achieved a real feeling of authenticity, by keeping the original pantry style floor tiles and the scrubbed oak table and benches. The kitchen feels as if it has been there for years. Many new kitchens take a month or so to settle into their environment, but not this one, it simply is part of the fabric of the house.
