An Ibizan villa

This project was an exciting challenge for Guild Anderson. It was our first project abroad and one that required a great deal of logistical planning.

The clients were looking for an element of English design mixed with a cool Balearic touch. An efficent layout and high-end appliances allowed for serious cooking and for the partygoers there's a small bar area with two drinks fridges located opposite.

The kitchen had to be able to cater for large parties so a large Miele gas hob with Franke tube extractors was installed, an Icerock prep sink ties in with the Pyrolave work surfaces. The cabinetry is a mix of walnut and painted pale grey cabinets, while the dresser was picked out in periwinkle blue with aubergine for the base units and shelving. To add to the contemporary feel the skirting was given a rippled wave effect. The island was designed to feature a stunning walnut piece of endgrain on the worktop.

The overall effect gives the space real individuality.

"It is not easy to make a kitchen in England for a villa in Ibizia and get it right but Guild Anderson did; a testament to the skill they have and the care they take. The whole process went very smoothly and we are delighted with the new and much admired kitchen. We would have no hesitation using Guild Anderson again."
