Arts and Crafts Kitchen

Needless to say you really do need the correctly aged house in which to put this style of kitchen. Thankfully Mrs Watson saw the light and the chose to go the route of an Arts and Crafts kitchen in her period home rather than an unforgiving modern look.

However this in no way means the kitchen itself is dated, the style has been modernised slightly with underlit skirting, a beautiful beaten copper sink and a lifting device added for her Kitchen Aid. Nick also created a very classic painted dresser within the conservatory area and a huge wall of sleek cupboards at the rear of the room to house all of her crockery and large serving dishes. This was painted a neutral colour in order to 'lose' the cabinet against the wall.

But in essence it has stayed true to form with it's heavy oak timbers and classic Arts and Crafts knobs and handles.

As you know we are delighted with our kitchen, it is 'the kitchen we have always dreamed of'. I particularly appreciate how you allowed me to have considerable input at the design stage and how you were happy to discuss various options until we were comfortable with the chosen designs. So thank you Nick and the team.
