Experts in handing out advise on how best to renovate your home, the boot was truly on the other foot last week for bespoke furniture makers, Guild Anderson.
For the last ten years, the office and design team have shared an office above the company’s busy cabinetry workshops on the Fonthill Estate. With the business growing and more space needed for production in the workshop, it was time for the design and admin teams to move to larger offices a five minute drive away in the small but perfectly formed town of Tisbury.
The Guild Anderson Design Studio is due to open on the same site in Tisbury, in Summer 2017. The Studio will be an innovative, creative meeting space to welcome clients and architects, as well as showcasing what is possible with Guild Anderson’s bespoke cabinetry.
Thanks to Polly’s brilliant pre-planning and organisation behind the scenes, the move went well and without a work day lost. With drills and screwdrivers at the ready, the desks, phones and computers were set up in record time – naturally – and the team were able to celebrate the extra luxuries of the new uber cool industrial office (windows! enough desks! heating! space!) with an impromptu picnic and of course, a very large chocolate cake.
As part of our collaborative approach to projects, most clients like to visit the Guild Anderson workshop to see their project being made. This is possible because, unlike many ‘bespoke’ companies, our craftsmen honestly make every piece of cabinetry here in Wiltshire. The layout of the workshop floor has been extended and redesigned for production efficiency and to maintain the company’s high standards on delivery times and costs. Clients will still be able to visit the workshop by appointment as before, as accessibility and communication are a very important part of the service that we provide.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Guild Anderson Design Studio at 22 Grosvenor Drive, Tisbury, later this year.
