Guild Anderson Furniture – Tisbury, Wiltshire
Full-time | Competitive Salary of 40-50K | Leadership Role in Bespoke Cabinetry & Furniture
By applying the principles of estate joinery, the Guild Anderson team is able to design and make spaces which blend seamlessly with their period architectural surroundings. Our growing reputation for creating refined, understated and charming back of house rooms for period country houses has led to an increasing interest in what we do, and the need for expansion.
We are now seeking a Production Manager to lead our workshop team and ensure the smooth delivery of our work to the highest possible standards. This is a senior role at the heart of our operations; suited to someone with a deep respect for materials, skill, and process, and a natural talent for leadership.

You’ll be responsible for planning workloads, managing a skilled team of cabinetmakers and apprentices, and maintaining our reputation
for excellence in craftsmanship (which was recognised earlier this year with a Bespoke Guild Mark from The Furniture Makers Company.)
You’ll work closely with our design, production, and installation teams to coordinate the flow of work through the business, ensuring a seamless journey from concept to completion. This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role that blends strategic planning with practical experience.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and support our team of cabinetmakers, apprentices, and workshop staff, cultivating a calm, respectful, and focused working culture.
- Plan and schedule workshop production in line with project timelines and capacity.
- Uphold meticulous quality standards at every stage of manufacture.
- Liaise closely with design and installation teams to ensure smooth project handovers and accurate interpretation of design intent.
- Maintain a safe, well-organised and well-equipped workshop environment.
- Manage the maintenance and procurement of workshop tools, machinery, and materials.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support when needed.
- Monitor workshop efficiency and implement improvements to workflow and processes.
- Recruit, train, and mentor team members, encouraging pride, precision, and continuous learning.
- Manage budgets and report on key workshop performance metrics to the Operations Director.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Proven experience in a senior production or workshop management role within a high-end bespoke environment.
- A deep understanding of joinery or cabinetmaking.
- Natural leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to inspire trust and accountability.
- A calm, organised approach to scheduling and workshop logistics.
- Keen eye for detail and an uncompromising approach to quality.
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and translating them into production plans.
- Experience in workshop scheduling, production tracking, and materials planning.
- Thorough understanding of health and safety legislation and good practice.
- Confident communicator who can collaborate across departments and with external suppliers.
DESIREABLE ATTRIBUTES
- Formal qualification in cabinetmaking, woodworking, or a related craft.
- Understanding of lean production principles or other continuous improvement methods.
- Familiarity with CAD software or production management tools.
WHY WORK WITH US?

As Production Manager, you will be central to helping us make that happen. You will have the opportunity to shape how our furniture is made, nurture emerging talent, and be part of a team which believes craftsmanship still matters. We value quiet excellence, attention to detail, and the joy of making beautiful things well, and we take genuine pride in our work and the people who make it.
