Exciting times for bespoke furniture maker, Guild Anderson, with 2017 promising to be as equally interesting a year as the last. We hope you will visit our new Design Studio in Tisbury when it opens later this Spring. Showcasing what is possible with Guild Anderson’s unique, bespoke fitted furniture, the Studio will be a creative meeting place and much needed larger office for our design team. Clients will still be able to visit the workshop (by appointment only) as we believe good communication is a vital part of the service that Guild Anderson offers.
As always, 2016 was a busy year in our workshop but happily the Guild Anderson team more than stepped up to meet the challenge. During the year, we undertook commissions for a wide range of renovation projects – including six Old Rectories and four stately homes – as well as our longest and largest project to date (encompassing two kitchens, three bathrooms, pantry, boot-room and a pool room).
Our mission that every cabinetry project will be delivered on time and budget is a high bar, but one we are determined to maintain.
To keep pace with the fast growing scope and scale of cabinetry projects, we are also committed to investing in our staff. Guild Anderson offer an apprenticeship scheme and have increased the number of skilled craftsmen, taking our workshop to ten full-time Furniture Makers. Providing an invaluable link between the design team and workshop, Richard Lockyer joined last year as our Operations Manager, while Sam Willis was promoted to Furniture Designer and our third designer starts this February.
At the end of last year, we re-branded and launched this new website. It features current work and hopefully underlines the high service standard, quality and diversity of projects for which Guild Anderson has become known. Please take a few minutes to look around the whole site, we’d love to know what you think.
All the best to our friends, clients and colleagues for 2017,
From the Guild Anderson Team (and Walter the dog).
