Two large green kitchen islands in a wiltshire house

Modern Country Kitchen

WILTSHIRE

This project was a modern country kitchen in a Georgian house located deep in the Wiltshire countryside.  The house was being beautifully updated to bring it up to the modern living standards the clients needed.

With the luxury of space, the kitchen was designed by the Guild Anderson team to incorporate many different areas, all beautifully symmetrical whichever way you are standing in the room everything is perfectly aligned and therefore comforting to the eye.

KITCHEN COLOURS TO COMPLIMENT THE GARDEN

The two beautifully dressed islands were both clad in Quartzite Eclipsia worktops which have an eccentric, rambling pattern which complement the branches on the trees outside.  The two large central islands were painted in eye catching Paint and Paper Library Apple Smiles 11 which matches the colour of the foliage on those branches.  The surrounding cabinets are painted in Paint and Paper Library Slate V with a more understated worktop.

FEATURES TO SUPPORT A WORKING KITCHEN

Flanking the walk through pantry there is a work desk area to the right and a drinks serving area on the left with a Miele wine fridge for ease.  Adjoining the kitchen is a beautiful snug seating area separated by a handmade crittle window.  This truly is a most luxurious set of rooms.

A handmade pin board languishes between the snug and the stable door to the boot room, the perfect spot to drop your keys and pin up your invites and ‘to do’ notes.

KITCHEN FEATURES

Dovetailed Oak
Drawers

We design oak dovetailed drawers in all of our bespoke kitchens. Using solid European oak throughout our work, and with soft close adjustable runners we are able to mix weight with precision.

Weight is an important factor in our work. We are just as interested in how our kitchen furniture feels to use as we are in how it looks.  The subconscious forms an important part of our design process.
