Georgian Style House

WINCHESTER

This beautiful Georgian style house is actually a brand new build by Haygarth Ross. Located in the rolling countryside near Winchester, it is the house the clients have always dreamed of, and so naturally they wanted a kitchen that was going to befit their new home.

Beautiful Georgian proportioned rooms allowed for a large kitchen island

Curved bench seating allowed space for a breakfast table

The large well-proportioned room called out for an immense island but the clients also wanted to be able to sit at a table for two and have breakfast looking out over the stunning Hampshire countryside. Nick created a curved banquette seating area enclosed within the island that fitted a small table where they could dine a deux.

FEATURES

DISCREET APPLIANCES

The kitchen design is sleek and uncluttered.

The large island is home to a number of features including a Miele induction hob with integral downdraft extraction.

This type of extraction unit meant there was no need for a large ugly hood to sit over the island, which would have spoilt the beautiful view out to the garden.

Other appliances used within the design include a Quooker tap, and Fisher & Paykel fridge freezer.  There are banks of drawers at base level to enhance the light airy feel of the room; giving ample storage for pots, pans as well as china and all manner of store cupboard ingredients.

FEATURES

Clever use of darker corners

Leading from the main light-filled kitchen area was a darker corridor.  The blue colour chosen here embrace this darker mood and makes what could have been a dark walk through impeccably stylish.

In this area the client chose to have a EuroCave wine fridge which has temperature controlled areas for both red and white wine.

This is a pro-grade wine fridge around which Nick designed oak interior storage which can house all of their wine cases and boxes as well as wine stands and coolers.

Beyond the kitchen Guild Anderson designed cabinetry to enhance the fabric of this new build home.  This is a great example of how bespoke cabinetry can add interest, storage and design aesthetic to an otherwise ordinary space.

FEATURES

Bespoke Bar Area

Leading through from the corridor that houses the wine fridge is a space for entertaining.

It felt only fitting to design a small bar area that complimented the style of the kitchen cabinetry but used the darker blue paint colour found on the wine storage area.
