Wiltshire-based furniture designers, Guild Anderson, hosted a drinks party on Thursday night at the Summerleaze Gallery, in the stunning countryside near East Knoyle, on the Dorset/Wiltshire border.
Friends, clients and professional colleagues from the design world gathered to see the exhibition by celebrated garden designer, Isabel Bannerman. Isabel’s dramatic photographic works show her observations of plants and flowers in exquisite detail.
On loan for the duration of the exhibition is an example of Guild Anderson’s original oval dining ‘Trunk Table’. Designed by Nick Anderson, the profile of this table was drawn from the great trees on the nearby Fonthill Estate. The tactile top of the table is made from pippy oak, so called because of the pips of burr scattered across it.
