Celebrating 10 years in business, bespoke furniture designers,
Guild Anderson, are releasing a new page for their website this January, to reflect the full
breadth of the company’s designs for living spaces.
The kitchen specialists have grown impressively since first launched by Nick Anderson, in 2003. The new web design will showcase some of the many other unique projects Guild Anderson have completed, including libraries, studies, home offices, cinema, boot rooms, playrooms and laundry rooms.
Renowned for the exceptional design, quality and finish of their cabinetry, most new projects are introduced via architects and interior designers or word of mouth and personal recommendations from clients.
Nick Anderson comments, ‘It is a huge compliment to be recommended. I was recently asked what I was most proud of in the 10 years of running my own business – it has to be to surpass expectations. Be it a table, a kitchen or designs for other rooms in a home, for me it is one of the most enjoyable parts of my job to see a client spontaneously pleased with the finished result. Our belief is to remain as adaptable and creative as possible in our design solutions. I love the variety of commissions we are involved with – no two houses and no two projects are ever the same.’
Nick continues, ‘Guild Anderson are fortunate to work in some wonderful homes where our task is to improve and design for the future. This is humbling in a 200 or 300 year old home, but a challenge I enjoy and relish. During the design process, the house becomes very much alive – with its quirks and particular nooks and crannies, where possibly no wall or ceiling is flat or gives a straight line. Where we stand apart from other kitchen or cabinetry firms is our belief in taking the same holistic approach to design in any room. By this I mean it is as important to take practicalities into consideration from the beginning such as heating, lighting and how a room sits in the rest of the house, as much as the aesthetics. We focus on retaining the traditional character of a room but at the same time bringing it into the current day’.
Wiltshire is the company’s heartland, but the flexibility and accuracy of Guild Anderson’s work is recognised in commissions from London to Scotland, and the South Coast to Ibiza.
Whilst achieving the perfect kitchen for each customer remains Guild Anderson’s day-to-day business, the company has developed its service and skill base clearly with great success. The expanded web portfolio illustrates a wide scope of additional fitted and free-standing furniture, designed to provoke thought for cabinetry commissions in other rooms, whatever the location, shape or age of the house.
