Guild Anderson designs and creates luxury, bespoke kitchen design throughout Dorset and the South West of England, specialising in period country houses of all sizes. Our approach is unlike that of any other kitchen designer working in Dorset country houses.  By applying the principles of the estate joiner, the one time guardian of the Dorset country house aesthetic, we are able to create spaces that sit in harmony with the architecture they sit within. From our location in Tisbury, we are only between 5 and 10 miles from the undulating county line with Dorset, a county with no cities or motorways.  With its stunning coastline, areas such as the Purbecks, the Jurassic Coast and Brownsea Island are all popular tourist destinations.

There is a huge variety of country housing stock throughout Dorset.  With more historic market towns of Blandford Forum, Sherborne, Shaftesbury and Gillingham to the north of the county serving a rural agricultural community.  In the south west Lyme Regis, Bridport, Weymouth and the county town of Dorchester combine Georgian and Victorian architecture.  To the east Poole, Wimborne Minster, Christchurch and Bournemouth offer post war and more modern contemporary designs; with Sandbanks achieving some the most expensive real estate values in the world.

Our handmade kitchen in Dorset saw the transformation of a dark and dated space into a light airy family kitchen with stunning features including the central walnut island.

Our Dorset Cottage Kitchen project was really very interesting to work on. The Guild Anderson design team created a kitchen that while still only limited in size managed to squeeze in everything they required all the while retaining a freestanding, loose look that was perfectly in keeping with the rest of our client’s home.
